New blood test vial aims for faster sepsis detection

NCT ID NCT06426121

Summary

This study tested a new type of blood culture vial to see if it works as well as an existing one for detecting serious bloodstream infections (sepsis). Researchers enrolled 394 patients who showed signs of a possible infection, like high fever or low blood pressure. They collected blood from each patient and put it into both the new test vial and the standard vial to compare the results.
