Scientists search for blood clue to autoimmune scarring
NCT ID NCT07393217
Summary
This study aims to understand if a protein in the blood (called FAP) can tell doctors about disease activity and lung scarring in rheumatoid arthritis and systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). Researchers will take a single blood sample from 111 people (patients and healthy volunteers) and compare FAP levels to standard medical tests. The goal is to gather knowledge for future patient care, but participation won't change anyone's current treatment.
