New blood test could spot dangerous prostate cancer, spare men unneeded biopsies

Summary
This study is testing a new type of blood test that looks for genetic signals (exoRNA) to diagnose clinically significant prostate cancer. It aims to see if this test can accurately identify aggressive prostate cancer in men with elevated PSA levels, potentially offering a less invasive alternative to guide biopsy decisions. The study will enroll 1700 men who are scheduled for a prostate biopsy to compare the new blood test's accuracy against current methods.
