Blood test could speed up cancer treatment decisions, study hopes

NCT ID NCT07096362

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple blood test can tell doctors if chemotherapy is working for metastatic pancreatic cancer faster than the current standard of waiting 8 weeks for scans. Researchers will measure tumor DNA in the blood of 50 participants at different time points to see if changes predict treatment response. The goal is to help doctors make treatment decisions sooner, potentially switching to a different therapy earlier if the current one isn't working.
