Simple blood test could replace risky brain biopsies for tumor tracking

NCT ID NCT06104930

Summary

This study is exploring whether tiny particles in the blood, called extracellular vesicles, can act as a 'liquid biopsy' to monitor meningioma brain tumors. Researchers will track these particles in 60 patients before, during, and after radiation therapy to see if changes in the blood match tumor progression. The goal is to find a safer way to classify and monitor these tumors without needing repeated invasive brain surgeries.
