Blood test aims to boost lagging lung cancer screenings

NCT ID NCT06145750

Summary

This study tested whether giving primary care doctors access to a blood test for lung cancer screening would encourage more eligible patients to get checked. It focused on patients who were at high risk due to smoking history but were not getting the recommended CT scans. Researchers compared screening rates between doctors who had the blood test available and those who did not.
