New blood test could warn lung cancer patients of recurrence sooner

NCT ID NCT07257458

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test to see if it can find tiny amounts of leftover lung cancer cells after surgery, which could help predict if the cancer might come back. Researchers will track 30 patients who have had surgery for non-small cell lung cancer, taking blood samples before and after their operation for up to two years. The goal is to see if this test can spot signs of returning cancer earlier than current methods, helping doctors decide who might need extra treatment.
