Blood test could offer simpler way to spot lung cancer

NCT ID NCT04162678

Summary

This study tested whether a simple blood draw, called a 'liquid biopsy,' could accurately diagnose lung cancer. Researchers analyzed blood samples from 51 people who were scheduled for or had recently undergone a standard lung biopsy or scan. The goal was to see if this less invasive blood test could one day help doctors detect lung cancer earlier and more easily.
