Blood test could signal Cancer's return after surgery

NCT ID NCT02849145

Summary

This study tested whether a blood test that looks for tiny pieces of cancer DNA could help doctors monitor patients after surgery. It involved 60 people with eye melanoma that had spread to the liver, who were having surgery to remove all visible tumors. Researchers took blood samples before and after surgery, and during two years of follow-up, to see if the test results could predict if the cancer would come back.
