New blood test could catch Cancer's return before symptoms appear

NCT ID NCT03739775

Summary

This study is testing a blood test that looks for tiny pieces of cancer DNA to see if it can detect the return of HPV-related pelvic cancers earlier than current methods. It involves 172 patients who have been treated for these cancers and are now in follow-up care. Researchers will track patients for 2.5 years, comparing the blood test results to standard scans and exams to see if the test accurately predicts a cancer's return.
