New blood test aims to catch deadly pancreatic tumors earlier

NCT ID NCT05847855

Summary

This study is testing a new blood test that analyzes DNA fragments to try to detect pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) at an early stage. It will involve 1,000 participants who have been diagnosed with specific pancreatic tumors but have not yet started treatment. The goal is to see if this less invasive test can accurately find these hard-to-detect tumors early and correctly tell them apart from other pancreatic cancers.
