Blood test may replace surgery for endometriosis diagnosis
NCT ID NCT07586488
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether measuring two tiny molecules (microRNAs) in the blood can accurately diagnose early-stage endometriosis, a painful condition that can cause infertility. Researchers compared blood test results to findings from standard laparoscopic surgery in 60 women. The goal is to develop a non-invasive test that could spare women from unnecessary surgery and speed up diagnosis.
