New blood test could track cancer without invasive biopsies
NCT ID NCT04490564
Summary
This study tested new blood tests designed to detect cancer biomarkers in patients with recurrent or metastatic head & neck, lung, or skin cancer. The goal was to validate if these 'liquid biopsies' could accurately track cancer changes over time by analyzing genetic material in the blood, offering a less invasive alternative to traditional tissue biopsies. Researchers compared results from blood tests with standard tissue samples to see how well they matched.
