Simple blood test could track breast cancer changes
NCT ID NCT04480814
Summary
This study tested new blood tests designed to detect specific cancer biomarkers in patients with metastatic ER+/HER2- breast cancer. It involved 30 participants who provided blood samples and tumor tissue to see if the tests could accurately identify genetic changes in the cancer. The goal was to validate a less invasive 'liquid biopsy' method to monitor the disease over time compared to repeated tissue biopsies.
