Searching for Cancer's secret messages in the bloodstream

NCT ID NCT04523389

Summary

This study aimed to find new ways to predict how colorectal cancer will progress by looking at tiny particles called exosomes in the blood. Researchers analyzed stored blood samples from 172 patients to see if specific markers within these particles could indicate a patient's survival chances or if the cancer was likely to spread. The goal was to develop a simple blood test to help doctors better understand a patient's prognosis.
