Blood-Saving technique could transform ovarian cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT06290193
Summary
This study is testing whether a blood conservation technique called acute normovolemic hemodilution (ANH) can reduce the need for donor blood transfusions during ovarian cancer surgery. Researchers will randomly assign 86 patients undergoing surgery for advanced ovarian cancer to receive either ANH or standard care during their operation. The goal is to determine if this approach safely decreases transfusion requirements and improves recovery.
