New pulse check aims for better blood pressure reading in kidney patients
NCT ID NCT04043871
Summary
This study tested a new method for measuring systolic blood pressure in people with severe kidney failure. Researchers compared a technique that analyzes the pulse wave from the foot to the heart against the standard method of listening with a stethoscope. The goal was to see if the new method works accurately in patients whose arteries are often stiff due to kidney disease.
