ICU blood pressure mystery: why two readings Don't match
NCT ID NCT07061457
Summary
This study aimed to understand why blood pressure readings can differ between the upper arm and wrist in critically ill patients receiving medications to support their circulation. Researchers observed 300 adult ICU patients to see how often this difference occurs and whether it's linked to higher medication doses or poorer blood flow to the limbs. The goal was to gather knowledge that could help doctors interpret blood pressure readings more accurately in the future.
