First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to remove fluid during dialysis by using a patient's recent blood pressure patterns to guide how much fluid is taken out. The goal is to reduce dangerous low blood pressure episodes during treatment while still controlling fluid buildup. About 69 veterans with kidney failure will be assigned to either the new method or standard care, and their blood pressure and fluid levels will be tracked over 4 months.
