Computer predicts safer drug doses for patients with damaged livers

NCT ID NCT07397481

Summary

This study tested if doses of blood pressure drugs predicted by a computer program were safe and effective for people who have both high blood pressure and liver cirrhosis. Forty patients were given either nebivolol or carvedilol at the computer-suggested dose. Researchers monitored their blood pressure, liver health, and any side effects over three months to see if this method worked well in real-world practice.
