Can ankle cuffs replace arm cuffs for blood pressure during C-Sections?

NCT ID NCT07422766

First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking blood pressure at the ankle works as well as the usual arm measurement during planned C-sections. About 110 pregnant women will have both measurements taken at the same time. If ankle readings are reliable, it could allow mothers to hold their babies skin-to-skin right after birth without interrupting monitoring.
