C-Section blood pressure study aims to keep mom and baby Skin-to-Skin
NCT ID NCT07422766
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking blood pressure at the ankle works as well as the usual arm cuff during planned C-sections. About 110 pregnant women will have both arm and ankle measurements taken. If ankle readings are reliable, it could allow mothers to hold their newborns skin-to-skin right after birth without needing to free an arm for monitoring.
