Hip replacement study aims to reduce bleeding risks
NCT ID NCT07492212
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares blood loss in total hip replacement surgery using two different ways to attach the implant: with cement or without. The goal is to see which method causes less bleeding, which could lower the risk of complications like heart attacks, strokes, or the need for blood transfusions. About 86 adults needing hip replacement will take part, and their blood loss will be measured over the first five days after surgery.
