New training method aims to speed recovery after hip surgery

NCT ID NCT04113759

Summary

This study is testing whether a special type of exercise called blood flow restriction (BFR) training helps people recover leg strength faster after hip surgery. Researchers will compare BFR training to standard rehab in 56 adults who had surgery for a hip labral tear or impingement. They will measure muscle strength, size, and patient-reported pain and function over one year to see which approach works better.
