Scientists map blood flow in heart patients with new Full-Body scanner
NCT ID NCT04941248
Summary
This study aimed to understand how blood flow changes throughout the entire body in people with a severely narrowed heart valve (aortic stenosis). Researchers used a special full-body PET/CT scanner to measure blood flow in 34 participants, including patients and healthy volunteers, before and after a valve replacement surgery. The goal was to gather detailed information, not to test a new treatment.
