Could a popular fitness technique make your ankle more likely to sprain?
NCT ID NCT07307339
Summary
This study is investigating whether a single session of blood flow restriction (BFR) on the thigh affects ankle stability and muscle reaction time in healthy people. Researchers are testing 24 healthy adults to see if this common training technique might temporarily worsen ankle control and potentially increase injury risk. Participants wear a special cuff on their thigh and perform balance and movement tests to measure changes.
