Blood filter could be key to saving High-Risk transplant patients

NCT ID NCT07200583

Summary

This study looked back at 50 patients with blood cancers or disorders who received a stem cell transplant from a partially matched family donor. Before the transplant, some patients received a special blood-filtering treatment to remove antibodies that could cause the body to reject the new cells. Researchers reviewed medical records to see if this pre-treatment helped the transplant succeed and reduced complications.
