Researchers track hidden blood clot danger in pelvic fracture patients

NCT ID NCT07165587

Summary

This study aimed to measure how often blood clots form in patients with serious pelvic and hip socket fractures while they are in the hospital. Researchers followed 81 adult patients who received a standard blood-thinning medication to prevent clots. They used ultrasound scans to check for both obvious and hidden clots, gathering data to better understand the risks for these injured patients.
