Scientists hunt hidden cause of deadly clots in kids with leukemia

NCT ID NCT02862652

Summary

This study aimed to understand why children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia sometimes develop dangerous blood clots during treatment. Researchers followed 24 children to measure tiny cell particles in their blood that might trigger clotting. The goal was to learn more about these particles to help prevent future complications, not to test a new treatment.
