New drug aims to outperform standard blood thinner for knee surgery patients

NCT ID NCT07140523

Summary

This study is testing a new investigational drug, SRSD107, to see if it works better and is as safe as the standard blood thinner (enoxaparin) at preventing dangerous blood clots after knee replacement surgery. It will involve about 450 adults aged 60-80 who are scheduled for this elective surgery. Researchers will compare three different doses of the new drug against the standard treatment to find the best dose.
