Scientists test 'Suicide Switch' immune cells to stop Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT04180059
Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new cell therapy designed to prevent blood cancers from coming back after a stem cell transplant. Researchers will give patients specially engineered immune cells that can target and kill leftover cancer cells. A key safety feature is a built-in 'suicide switch' that allows doctors to quickly eliminate the new cells if serious side effects occur.
