Doctors go blindfolded to sharpen team skills in fake crises
NCT ID NCT07427641
Summary
This study aims to see if temporarily blindfolding the lead doctor during practice medical emergencies helps improve team communication and performance. Small teams of experienced medical staff will participate in realistic simulations, with some leaders wearing a blindfold. Researchers will measure how well the teams work together during the simulation and again three months later to see if the training sticks.
