New bandage study aims to stop painful bleeding for cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06581809

Summary

This study compares two types of wound dressings to see which one causes less bleeding when bandages are changed for patients with large, cancerous skin wounds. Researchers are testing a special 'hemostatic' dressing designed to stop bleeding against a standard, non-hemostatic dressing. They will measure bleeding, pain, and stress for 108 adult patients over six months to find the best way to manage this difficult symptom.
