New hope for cancer patients with unstoppable bleeding
NCT ID NCT05091684
Summary
This study tested whether giving a concentrated clotting protein called fibrinogen could help stop severe bleeding in cancer patients whose bodies don't respond to standard platelet transfusions. The trial focused on patients with blood cancers undergoing intensive chemotherapy who developed dangerous bleeding that wouldn't stop. The research was terminated early after enrolling only one participant, so results are limited.
