First seen Jan 14, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at two methods to widen a blocked bile duct during a special scope procedure. The goal is to see if using a mechanical dilator causes less bleeding than the standard electrocautery tool. About 64 adults who cannot have the usual ERCP procedure will take part. The results could help doctors choose a safer way to drain bile.
