New training could help patients regain normal urination after cancer surgery
NCT ID NCT06241703
Summary
This study tested a new bladder training method for patients recovering from rectal cancer surgery. It compared a specific training technique involving clamping and releasing the urinary catheter while encouraging patients to urinate, against the standard approach of just draining the catheter. The goal was to see if this training helps patients regain normal bladder function faster and reduces problems like needing a new catheter or getting infections.
