First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a new external device that hooks to standard urinary catheters to measure bladder pressure. Researchers will compare its readings to the gold-standard urodynamics test in 100 people with neurogenic bladder. The goal is to see if the device is accurate enough for routine use.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
novel external bladder pressure monitoring device
What this could lead to
If successful, this device could offer a simpler, less invasive way to monitor bladder pressure in people with neurogenic bladder.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage comparison study with only 100 participants. The device may not match the accuracy of standard urodynamics, and results may not apply to all patients.
