First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how satisfied patients are when a bladder catheter is removed two different ways after urological surgery. Usually, a nurse pulls it out. In this study, some patients will have the catheter removed by letting the balloon drain on its own (passive removal). The goal is to see which method causes less pain and anxiety and leads to higher satisfaction. About 160 men who had certain prostate or urethra surgeries will take part.
