Could a simple urine test replace invasive biopsies for bladder cancer?
NCT ID NCT04412070
Summary
This study aimed to see if analyzing DNA from urine could match the genetic information from bladder tumor tissue samples. Researchers wanted to develop a less invasive way to guide personalized immunotherapy treatments for high-risk bladder cancer patients. The study involved 20 patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer who were candidates for standard BCG treatment, but the trial was terminated early.
