New hope for bladder cancer patients who can't take chemo: radiation plus immunotherapy combo tested
NCT ID NCT03601455
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether combining radiation therapy with two immunotherapy drugs (durvalumab with or without tremelimumab) can help control advanced bladder cancer in people who cannot or will not have chemotherapy. About 13 participants with cancer that has spread or can't be surgically removed will receive treatment. The goal is to see if this approach slows cancer growth and is safe, but it is not expected to be a cure.
