First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving a short, intensive course of chemotherapy (Mitomycin C) directly into the bladder before surgery could reduce the chance of cancer coming back, compared to the standard approach of surgery followed by regular chemo instillations. The trial involved 120 adults with recurrent non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. The main goal was to see how many people needed another surgery or tumor removal within two years.
