New bladder cancer treatment trial offers hope when standard therapy fails

NCT ID NCT06388720

Summary

This study is testing whether washing the bladder with two cancer drugs, one after the other, can help control high-risk bladder cancer in patients whose cancer did not respond to the standard BCG treatment. The trial aims to see if this approach can prevent the cancer from coming back and delay or avoid the need for bladder removal surgery. Researchers will monitor 82 patients to measure how long they stay cancer-free and assess the safety of the treatment.
