New tool could spare Women's organs in cancer surgery

Summary

This study is testing a decision-making tool to help surgeons decide which women with bladder cancer can safely have a less invasive surgery. The goal is to avoid removing healthy reproductive organs during bladder removal, which may improve long-term quality of life, sexual health, and reduce other health risks. Researchers will track cancer outcomes and quality of life in about 147 women to see if the tool is safe and effective.
