Urine test may shorten immunotherapy for tough bladder cancer

NCT ID NCT07475403

First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether a urine DNA test can help doctors decide how long to give immunotherapy for a severe type of bladder cancer that can't be fully removed with surgery. About 53 adults with very-high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer will receive immunotherapy, and those who respond well may stop treatment earlier than usual. The goal is to see if this shorter, guided approach keeps cancer from coming back while reducing unnecessary treatment.
