Immune-Boosting drug trial aims to make cancer surgery more effective

Summary
This study is testing whether a drug called atezolizumab can shrink tumors in patients with bladder or upper urinary tract cancer before they have surgery to remove them. The drug works by helping the patient's own immune system recognize and attack the cancer cells. About 58 patients in the UK, France, and Spain will receive the drug for about 6 weeks before their standard operation, and researchers will check if the tumor is completely gone after removal.
