Bladder cancer patients may get stronger chemo before surgery
NCT ID NCT07184021
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This phase 2 trial tests a more intense chemotherapy regimen (gemcitabine and cisplatin) given before bladder removal surgery for people with muscle-invasive bladder cancer. The goal is to see if this approach can completely eliminate the tumor before surgery. About 30 participants will be enrolled, and the main measure is how many have no cancer left in the bladder or lymph nodes at the time of surgery.
