Friendly bacteria tested to soothe troubled bladders
NCT ID NCT04323735
Summary
This study is testing whether putting a specific strain of helpful bacteria (Lactobacillus) directly into the bladder can reduce urinary symptoms in people with neurogenic bladder who use an indwelling catheter. Researchers will enroll 182 participants to find the best dose of this bacteria and to better understand what a healthy urine environment looks like for this population. The main goal is to see if this approach can ease symptoms and inform a larger future trial.
