First human test for new cholesterol pill begins
NCT ID NCT06556745
Summary
This is an early safety study to see how the body processes a new drug called BKR-017 in people already taking cholesterol-lowering statins. Researchers will give the drug to 10 participants and measure how much of it gets into their blood over time, while carefully checking for any side effects. The main goal is to understand the drug's safety profile and how it behaves in the body before testing if it can help lower cholesterol.
