Researchers track hidden virus threat in transplant patients

NCT ID NCT07347769

Summary

This study aims to better understand BK virus infections in kidney transplant patients. Researchers will observe 100 patients who already have the virus in their urine to learn where the virus comes from and how the body's immune system responds. The goal is to identify which patients are most at risk for the virus spreading to the blood and causing kidney damage.
