Vaccine trains body to attack neuroblastoma in High-Risk kids
NCT ID NCT00911560
First seen Jun 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a vaccine designed to teach the immune system to recognize and attack neuroblastoma cells. The vaccine contains two antigens (GD2L and GD3L) found on these cancer cells, plus an immune booster called OPT-821. Patients also take oral β-glucan, a yeast-derived sugar that helps white blood cells kill cancer. The goal is to see if the vaccine can trigger antibodies that target neuroblastoma while leaving healthy cells alone. The trial includes 374 high-risk neuroblastoma patients in first or later complete remission.
